         What do these two celebrities have in common besides being targets for the tabloids? 

1. Both musicians were born in November                                 Miley Cyrus was born , Destiny Hope Cyrus,  on November 23, 1992  and Clay Aiken was born, Clayton Holmes Grissom,  on November 30th, 1978 .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    
2. Both singers are from the South   
   

Miley is from Franklin, Tennessee. Clay is from Raleigh, North Carolina. 


                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            3. Both are experienced actors   

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           While Miley made her acting debut early on television, Clay has acted from his youth in a local theater group to Broadway and TV screen as an adult.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        

4. Their religious backgrounds are similar

5. Both have experienced plenty of criticism and controversy

         When you're in the public eye, you get plenty of both whether
you deliberately caused it or not. Both seem to have learned
how to overcome their critics and go forward. 



6. Both Are Actively Involved in Charity work                                       

     

                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Clay co-founded what later became the National Inclusion Project and has been an ambassador for UNICEF for several years. He also has been active in volunteering and promoting other causes and charities. While Miley hasn't started a charity(according to my knowledge and research) , she has been just as earnestly involved in charity work as Clay.         



7. Both became famous in the early 2000's  

        Clay became famous through season 2 of  American Idol in 2003. Miley Cyrus's dad, Billy Ray Cyrus was already well known as a Country singer and an actor, but Miley's rise to stardom began with the preteen set in 2006 with Hannah Montana .

Both have worked with Disney

to singing on Phineas and Ferb,  Alladin and more; 
Clay's had a bit of experience in working with Disney.  
Miley got a big start there.
