Monday's Mewsic Moves Me: Build Me Up Buttercup

I am one of the Co-hosts of Monday's Mewsic Moves Me(http://bit.ly/2v0CITK) this month. Several bloggers write about music or music themes and share a linky so that others can join the group. The linky is below this post. Today's theme is 'your choice', and since it is May and Springtime, I chose a song with a flower in the name. It is also a song that Clay Aiken(http://bit.ly/2Q1B8qj) has recorded. The song is "Build Me Up Buttercup."

Today's song has been around for over 5 decades, as have I. Build Me Up Buttercup was written by Michael D'arbo and Tony Macaulay. It was first recorded by The Foundations (Song information by AllMusic.). Enjoy these videos of today's song performed by The Foundations, Clay, a group of US Marines and with ukelele by a relatively unknown

Hope you had fun celebrating " Build Me Up Buttercup" today.  Please comment and join the 4M blogging crew today or next Monday. Thanks for visiting and may God bless you.

  1. Cynthia,

Great song pick to boogie to for the start of a new week. Clay does alright covering The Foundations hit classic. Thanks for sharing and for being honorary co-hostess this month, my dear!

  2. I can't get to the video (says it is unavailable) but I am well familiar with The Foundations' version. I haven't listened to this song for years. Nice start to your hosting; I'll find Clay's version online, too.
