Meanwhile, let's get back to the song. It was a popular song performed and recorded in the 1980's by the girl group, The GoGos. Kathy Valentine wrote the song(https://www.songfacts.com/facts/the-go-gos/vacation)while performing with a local group, The Textones. It was based on a boy she dated at the time. One of the other members of The GoGos thought of the water skiing cover.

ReplyDeleteBefore the pandemic hit we were talking about taking a vacation but that's gonna have to wait until next year, I believe. Honestly, I just don't feel like it's a good idea to travel hundreds maybe thousands of miles from home during with this mess hanging over our heads but even when things are 'normal' there are always other concerns. We'll see how things go.

I totally agree with Cathy and I couldn't have said it better. I haven't heard this song in like forever. I haven't heard the GoGo's in a long time. I even asked my grandkids if they heard of them and my grandson said what's a gogo! Oh boy! I guess the GoGo's really didn't stay around to long, but they were cute while they lasted. Thanks for sharing.
