 As of the most recent episode of Celebrity Apprentice, Clay Aiken and Arsenio Hall are the final 2 contestants! The last task, which began on this past Sunday night and will be completed live this coming Sunday night, involves a charity show and party, ticket selling and a PSA. Clay and Arsenio have some of their former competitors on their team to help them win.  Both finalists have already run into problems in part 1 of the finale, from lack of locations for the PSA to bad coast to coast communication with a film crew. I'm excited for Clay and glad that the finale involves a friendly rivalry. Too bad that I won't be home-will be going to Americus, GA for a family reunion. My dvr is set and I'll be watching in the motel on the edge of my seat(The family reunion is older than Celebrity Apprentice.) ! The show is a great opportunity for both celebrities and their charities; The National Inclusion Project and The Magic Johnson Foundation. Who is 'The Real' Clay Aiken?

 Who is Clay Aiken? I think only he and his friends and family really know him, but his fans have gotten to know him pretty well while respecting his privacy. Is he "the boy next door" who sang and won our hearts in American Idol and gave his heart to kids in need? Is he the "King Of Controversy'' ?  Is he a music Superstar? Or a snarky comedian? These are just a few facets of the man and singer, Clay Aiken

•  The Boy Next Door

                  A young adult walked onto a stage in January of 2003 to audition for American Idol. He didn't make it the first round but got another chance. One judge looked at this man and said that he '..didn't look like a pop star, but you have a great voice..' He was runner up on the show but he won a lot of hearts and keeps on winning. Once he studied to become a special ed. teacher and has used his stardom to help kids in need through UNICEF and his own foundation, The National Inclusion Project. He is so considerate of his fans and yet maintains his own privacy. He shakes hundreds of his fans' hands after nearly every concert, with some risk due to food allergies that even a touch  from someone eating certain items can cause great harm.  Now, this singer with a heart of Gold is competing on Celebrity Apprentice to win 250,000 dollars for the National Inclusion Project.    

"King Of Controversy"               From the time he first became famous, Clay has been involved in a few controversies. Some happened before and after he came out in 2008 in People Magazine. Some of the controversies happened due to something he did or said, and sometimes it just seems like he gets in trouble without trying. Gossip rags and websites like to make more controversies then there really is about Clay. It's enough at times to give Clay's publicist a heart attack :D !                                                                               

• Superstar Clay                                                                                             

From American Idol, to Platinum Albums, to Broadway to the Apprentice, Clay has proven to be a superstar. If you've been to one of his concerts, you know that he (and his band) provide not only musical prowess, but comedy as well. There's a bit of everything in one of his concerts. The only problem is a lack of radio airplay in recent years. Sometimes I think I would like to be his publicist for a week- but dealing with real or contrived controversies would be my downfall! :D

• Clay, the Snarky Comedian                     In his concerts, on Broadway and on tv and other places, you can observe the wit of Clay. Sometimes he's funny on purpose and sometimes he's funny by accident.   Yo can even catch a funny and cute moment from this past Sunday's episode of The Apprentice, featuring Clay and Arsenio wrestling on Entertainment Weekly.

'It's About Dang Time' For Celebrity Apprentice

 

 Borrowing from Clay, an expression minus the bad word; 'It's About ---- Time' to see Clay Aiken on the premiere episode of Celebrity Apprentice 2012! At 9 PM Eastern Standard Time, the show will start. Several fan sites are planning chats during and after the show airs.  Many Claymates have been looking forward to this day since hints of Clay being on the show appeared last fall. A little less than 2 weeks remain until The Celebrity Apprentice starts its new season with a larger cast of stars , including Clay Aiken, and a longer season than the show has ever had before.  Fans got a sneak peek through commercials for the show online and on television earlier last month and during the Super Bowl.

Celebrity Apprentice to Begin Feb. 12th!

Clay Aiken and  his fellow contestants on Celebrity Apprentice are recording now, but the series will air on Sundays on NBC beginning Feb, 12th! With that, the Gala coming up next month and a new single to be released in January; there is much to be excited about in the Clay Nation!

Anticipation for Aiken on Celebrity Apprentice

    

  

                  Claymates have a couple months to wait to see Clay on "Celebrity Apprentice", but there has been quite a buzz already among fans since People made the announcement of the 2012 cast.  Fan clubs and groups speculated about Clay's appearance on the show a while before there was an official announcement.   

                     It will be interesting to see how Clay progresses in the show and  how he relates to Donald Trump and to his fellow contestants,. If Clay's previous successes(as a former special education teacher, a caregiver, American Idol alum, charity co-founder,Unicef Ambassador,  platinum-selling singer and Broadway star) are any indication- his fellow contestants might have to work extra hard to become the next Celebrity Apprentice!

                     If you can't wait until 2012 to see Clay; there's the Champion's Gala for the National Inclusion Project in December. Clay has announced the preview of a new original song that will be aired on the radio in January. Go to the National Inclusion Project page to find out more about the Gala.
