A Day of Thanks

     Tomorrow is a big holiday for the United States and a few other countries, when we meet with friends and loved ones to share a big meal and celebrate our blessings; as the first Americans shared their first harvest with Native Americans(the meal was a festival that lasted 3 days and the meats were not turkey, but lobster, swans, and seals. See link above fir more information) .  So, happy Thanksgiving to Clay Aiken, his family, and you. I'm very thankful for Clay and all of my readers.

Wacky Weather

The weather here in Chattanooga has been weird since Thanksgiving. It's gone from 60 degrees high, to flash flooding to a rain and snow mix in the mountains. It's no wonder that I've got a sore throat and a chest cold! It's like the weather can't make up it's mind yet what season we're in :D! Well, at least this is Clay's birthday and it is also the final day of NaBloPoMo!

Time Out for Thanksgiving

Image by Getty Images via @daylife

• `   The funniest thing happened on Thursday when I was at my brother and sister-in-law's house celebrating Thanksgiving with my family and my brother's in-laws. After dinner, my four-year-old greatniece put  her uncle(my niece's husband) in time out. I don't know what her uncle did wrong but she told him that was the time-out chair and that he was going to be in time-out for a hundred years. She had her hands on her hips and was so serious about it. It was all the adults could do to keep from rolling over in the floor laughing. My niece's husband is an eye doctor and we teased him about the story he would be telling about his Thanksgiving when he returned to work. My niece and her husband then took my great niece and her sister to the playground and I guess all was forgiven! It was the highlight of the day next to counting our blessings and being with family.
• I also took a little time out of my blogging schedule one day this weekend-so now I have to double post in both blogs to get 30 posts each by tomorrow for NaBloPoMo. I missed a day or two in the beginning so I double posted a few times.  I've learned a lot by trying to blog on two blogs every day or catching up. I can do this. I probably won't try to blog this often- but will try to write at least 3 times a week on both blogs. For about half of the posts, it was easier to come up with ideas for posts-but the other half I had to really struggle. But, I have met some other women bloggers online and have found some tools and resources for when I get blogger's block. I probably won't do NaBloPoMo for at least 12 months-but I know now that I can make it.  It also gave me a chance to promote my blogs.

•   Last but not least, I want to thank you, my readers, for your visits and comments.

I Appreciate You, Clay

MyNiceProfile.com
While this is a week or so early for Thanksgiving, I thought it was appropriate at this time.
Thank you Clay (and to Team Clay)for all that you do for us fans. For the concerts, the meet and greets or bus line handshakes, for  the blogs, tweets and facebook posts; and so much more. Thank you most of all for sharing yourself with us, and for giving to kids in need through UNICEF and the National Inclusion Project. After all the negative posts on the OFC forum; you deserve to know how much that I and others still love and appreciate you, whether you blog or not .
       I'll probably post sometimes between now& Thanksgiving, but just in case;
Happy Thanksgiving to Clay and all his family and friends, to Team Clay and all of the Clay Nation.
I am also very thankful for all of my readers!

Surviving The Holiday Cold

  What do you do when you've got a cold during a holiday week?

MyNiceSpace.com

This is my 2nd time, last time was during Christmas several years ago. My mom and I have toughed out a cold and sore throat(it's still not completely gone yet ) during Thanksgiving week .She went to the doctor on Monday.  We stayed home away from our family, but a neighbor brought some food.  Still, we are very blessed.

                        So far, here's what I did

;

1 Rested a lot

2,  Stayed Hydrated and Took Vitamin C

           I drank mostly Ocean Spray Diet and some Tea.

3. Surfed The Web A Bit

I felt a little better this week -so I explored the web -even visiting bored.com

4. Watched TV and Youtube

Yes, some of the videos were of Clay Aiken;

So how are you?

DON'T Forget to Check Out My Comments Contest, before you go.

I'm hoping to get out soon; start my Christmas shopping and to see"The Blind Side"!
