Election Day 2014 is over. Unfortunately, Clay Aiken lost his bid for Congress with 41 percent of the votes to Renee Ellmers' 59 percent. Unlike his Monty Python character Sir Robin, Aiken fought a good battle and did not run away.

Clay's spirits seem undaunted despite his loss, and he promised that,"My voice will not be silenced, I will continue to use my platform to speak up for what I believe."

The news isn't all bad. Clay's campaign will be featured in an Esquire documentary next year. Whatever happens next, I'm sure good things are still to come for Clay and his fans.
